ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Our academic programs are structured to give our students the best chance at attaining their goals. We employ a multitude of techniques to promote executive functioning and real-world skills — not just rote learning. We encourage goal-setting, action-planning, and self-evaluation to help our learners become more self-directed and to set them up for a lifetime of success — whichever field they choose.
Our teachers are trained and prepared to deliver a rich and relevant curriculum and create a learning environment that will allow the learners to flourish in their own way at their own time.
QUALITY GUARANTEED
The academic curriculum goes beyond the minimum standard set by the Department of Education, and our consistent implementation has earned us Government Recognition from DepEd at all levels of our program from Pre School through Senior High School. Our High School curriculum also abides by the standards set by the Private Education Assisstance Committee (PEAC), and was originally certified in 2016. In 2020, the school underwent a rigorous evaluation and was granted a 3-year recertification by the organization, effective until SY 2023-2024.

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY
Preschool
Our Pre-school Curriculum adopts a Play-based Philosophical Approach to learning. Creative thinking skills are nurtured at this age to help them succeed in navigating more complex situations later on in life. “Purposeful play” is used together with structured activities and routines to build social skills, locomotor skills, and independent learning skills. It matters to us that the children enjoy the process of learning very early on.

The elementary school years are critical in setting up the learners with good study habits and attitudes. Our Elementary School Curriculum is an enhanced take on the standard DepEd curriculum, and focuses on nurturing a positive attitude towards learning and building good study habits appropriate for each developmental age group.

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Our Junior High School program builds on the essential and foundational skills and knowledge gained in the learners’ elementary years. It aims to teach the learners practical applications of their knowledge and targets skills acquisition that will help the learner to become functional and contributing members of society. The JHS curriculum also features career-exploratory activities to engage learners in discovering potential career paths for them later on.

Muir Woods Academy (pronounced /MYOOR WOODS/) is a mid-sized private K-12 school located in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. It was founded in 2005 and was formally known as Nueva Vizcaya Bright Child School, Inc.
